OUR AREA On the Carrabassett River in New Portland, Maine, Seven Falls Cabins are surrounded by natural beauty and quaint New England. From our spot on the river you can see The Wire Bridge built in 1812, one of the last surviving suspension bridges from that era. Mount Abraham, The Bigelow Range, Sugarloaf, and Saddleback, all 4,000+ ft peaks, are just a short drive away. Within an hour are the seven waterfalls that give us our namesake. Trout streams, lakes, and beaver ponds traverse the landscape. The open lands of Western Maine's Lakes & Mountains region provide for endless exploration with each season bringing new scenery.
Services are available a few miles up
the road in Kingfield, a charming town with
restaurants, cafes, a grocery store and gas stations. Twenty minutes
south is Farmington, a historic brick town with a branch of the
University of Maine, interesting shops, restaurants, a movie theater
and all the services of a big town.
